Who We Are
Pentok Institute is a grassroots development non-profit organization working to provide quality education for Tibetan girls in western China.
We envision a community where culturally-friendly quality education is accessible to everyone.
Pentok was established in 2009 to respond to the enormous need for education for young Tibetan children, especially girls in the herding areas of Qinghai province, China. Since then, the organization has grown both in scope and geographic area.

week with teachers from Shanghai, learning about skills in team building, presentation, and photography in January 2014.
